Absentee Ballots & Applications

American FlagAbsentee ballots are available for any election or primary and can be obtained from the Town Clerk's Office.

Regular Absentee Ballots for the November 8, 2022 Election are available from the Town Clerk beginning on Friday, October 7, 2022.

This application is also available in person at the Town Clerks Office, request by phone 860-444-5831, email, or by mail. Applications can be accepted anytime and voters are encouraged to turn them in as soon as possible.

Ballots and applications may be returned through the mail, via secure drop box outside of the Waterford Town Hall or in person to the Town Clerk during regular office hours. The ballots can be issued in person only to the voter themselves or can be mailed directly to the voter.

Ballots must be returned by 8 pm on Election Day (November 8, 2022) to be counted.

To be eligible you must be a registered voter and be excused for one of the following reasons:

  • Active service in the Armed Forces
  • Physical disability
  • Absence from town during all voting hours
  • Religious beliefs forbidding secular activity on voting day
  • Serving as an election official
  • Sickness
