I was proud to support The Friends of Seaside State Park hosting an informational meeting at Town Hall facilitated by Helen Post Curry. With help from the community, Curry, the president of The Friends of Seaside State Park, said she is continuing conversations with DEEP and residents to see how the community can be helpful to building the best possible passive park for the State of Connecticut. Residents were encouraged to speak with the Executive Board of Directors and the members of The Friends of Seaside State Park. The community meeting gave residents an opportunity to ask questions and provide ideas for the future of the park after DEEP announced in February 2023 its plan to remove the deteriorated buildings and implement a passive park.
