[ARCHIVED] Remember the Titans: Free Intergenerational Screening for Kid, Families, Grandparents

Remember The Titans Final

Join us in commemorating Black History Month as Waterford Youth & Family Services, Waterford Senior Services and Waterford RISE extend a warm invitation to you and your family for a complimentary intergenerational screening of a modern classic that deeply reflects our nation's racial history. "Remember the Titans" chronicles the inspiring true story of Herman Boone, a newly appointed African-American coach, and his high school team as they navigate their inaugural season as a racially integrated unit in 1970s Virginia.

This event provides an excellent opportunity for young individuals to engage in discussions surrounding their perspectives and insights. Attendees will have the chance to meet older Americans who experienced one of the most challenging periods in American history firsthand.

Children over 10 can be dropped off and signed-in, as WYFS staff will be supervising this event, but we encourage parents to stay and suggest that kids invite their grandparents and older relatives to join us for this enriching experience. This screening is free for Waterford Residents, and lunch is provided, but space is limited.
