Recycling - Single Stream

Recycling is picked up every other week in your green carts

Single Stream Recycling has changed the way we pick up your recyclables! Your recyclables will be picked up every other week, since all your recyclables can be placed in the cart together with no recycling separation required, everything goes in one cart.

Acceptable Items for Recycling

Paper

  • All Clean Cardboard and Paperboard
  • Clean Pizza Boxes (No food or Grease)
  • Newspapers and Inserts
  • Magazines
  • Mail and Catalogs
  • Paper Bags
  • Office Paper, Envelopes, Window Envelopes
  • Phone Books
  • Books
  • Milk and Juice Cartons
  • Juice Boxes

Plastic

  • Water Bottles
  • Milk Jugs
  • Detergent Bottles
  • Shampoo Bottles
  • Any Beverage Bottle
  • Plastic Cups (Lids and straws go in trash)
  • Plastic take-home containers (clam shell type)

Glass

  • All glass Bottles and Jars

Metal

  • Tin cans
  • Aerosol Cans (empty) - food grade only
  • Aluminum Cans/foil

Please Note

  • All recyclable items must be clean,
  • Flatten or nest boxes when possible
  • No containers over 5 gallons in size

Corrugated Cardboard can also be dropped off at any of these locations throughout the Town of Waterford. They are as follows:
