Planning & Development

The Planning and Zoning Commission is drafting a comprehensive revision to Waterford’s Subdivision Regulations.  The changes are intended to:

  • Simplify and streamline the regulations.

  • Reflect best practices in designing public improvements.

  • Maintain consistency with statutory requirements.

  • Promote conservation and protection of natural resources.

The Horsley Witten Group was hired to help draft the new regulations. The Planning and Zoning Commission has worked with consultants and staff over the past year to develop the proposed regulations. Changes to the subdivision regulations also affect sections of the Zoning Regulations. Proposed Zoning amendments are available below.

A public hearing to present and hear comments concerning these changes will be held during the Commission’s regular meeting at 6:30 on Monday, January 22nd at the Waterford Town Hall. Please contact Abby Piersall, AICP, Planning Director with questions or comments.
