What time period does my sewer use bill cover?
The sewer use bill, which is due February 1, 2012 covers the period of 10-1-11 to 12-31-11. New owners should check their closing statements to see the adjustment made at closing. In most cases, the bill is the new owner’s obligation.
What happens if my bill becomes delinquent?
You have until February 1, 2012 to pay this bill without penalty. We MUST charge interest per Connecticut State Statutues. Failure to pay the bill by February 1, 2012 results in an interest charge back to the due date of January 1, 2012.
What if I do not receive a bill?
If you did not receive a bill for property you own that uses sewers, contact our office promptly. State Statute 12-130 states that failure to receive a bill does not invalidate the bill or the interest.
